  • Khairil Annuar Khalid

    A 1984 graduate of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in Business Administration, Mr Khairil started off his lifelong pursuit with a 5-year career with Hewlett Packard Malaysia as a production officer.

    In 1989, Mr Khairil began an 11-year attachment to the International Relief Organisation, a worthy endeavour that allowed him to serve the Uzbekistan (Central Asia), Balkan and Central America regions. Responsibilities include managing composting projects (for small holder and agriculture educational programme) and income generating programmes, especially on the field of agriculture.

    The new millennium brought Mr Khairil to Gardenia Forum Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian-bred company that allowed his skills to be utilised in product development and marketing. He was actively involved in the research of natural bio compost and growth hormone for agricultural use.

    From the inception year of 2005, Detik Aturan allowed him to manage a multitude of composting projects in the country, namely for PKPS Agro Industries Sdn Bhd. In addition, Mr Khairil also conducted training for small scale farmers and agricultural bodies in the region about the usage and benefit of bio compost in hopes for sustainable agriculture.

    Mr Khairil is a member of the Malaysian Society of Waste Management Expert, and his services has well extended to other international organizations and also towards numerous humanitarian efforts namely in countries such as Thailand, Sri Lanka, Iraq, Cambodia, Jordan, and Indonesia among others.

  • Md Arfizal Md Ariffin

    A committee member for the Malaysian Society of Waste Management Expert, Mr Arfizal began his career as a trading executive with Masbih Holdings Sdn Bhd in 1997 after graduating from Universiti Malaya.

    In 1998, he underwent an Agriculture and Natural Farming training session in Bangkok. That same year, Md Arfizal began his role as a special project officer for Ql Consultant Sdn Bhd which allowed him a role in Project Management and Development. His contributions include being a project consultant for a Cotton Production Project in Uzbekistan and for a Malaysian Government Expressway privatisation.

    In 1999, Mr Arfizal joined Gardenia Forum Sdn Bhd as a production manager, a role which enabled him to be attached to the EFB Compost Project in Dengkil, Selangor and Kulai, Johor. His 6-year attachment to the company paid off with the establishment of Detik Aturan in 2005, and a role as one of the directors.

    Detik Aturan became a success with the implementation of the first Vegetable Waste Composting facility in Malaysia, a composting plant developed for PKPS Agro Industries Sdn Bhd. Today, with other successful ventures in his belt, Mr Arfizal is looking ahead to implement feasible and beneficial composting solution ventures with companies locally and in the region.
